Botafogo curves round its bay with Sugarloaf at the end of it; Urca, a quiet neighbourhood of houses at the foot of the mountain, has the cable car station and the sea wall where Rio drinks at sunset; Flamengo has the great bayside park and the MAM. Botafogo itself has become one of the city’s best places to eat.
